I am asking every family to please take a moment to complete my end of the year survey. This provides me useful information and I really appreciate parent feedback. This survey is an anonymous process. You can find the survey by clicking here. Thank you very much, I really appreciate it!

Math This Week
This
week in math students will be learning how to measure line segments to the
nearest inch. In addition, students will be learning how to measure
lengths to the nearest half-inch. Our adding of four two-digit numbers is
coming along nicely. Be sure to ask your student what strategy they
prefer to use to solve these types of problems.
Writing Like Third Graders
Last
week we began writing like 3rd graders! We focused on the topic,
"How Can You Make Earth a Better Place". We did lots of
research using Wonderopolis to support our thinking. We came up with three
main ways we can make the world a better place: conserve energy, plant a tree
and Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. For each of the ideas students wrote a five
finger paragraph. We discussed how our writing is starting to look like
3rd grader writing because we have multiple ideas in our writing which means we
are really writing essays! Check out your child's blog to see their excellent writing! How exciting!
