This morning during Reading Workshop students became "Print Detectives". As "Print Detectives" they discovered all of the places where reading hides in our classroom. Partners went around the classroom with a clipboard and recorded all the things we can read in our classroom. We combined everyone's list to formulate a class list (below).

Thank You Note
As you embark on your journey to 3rd grade I want to wish you all a wonderful 1st day of school. I will miss you all very much – so don’t be a stranger; make sure to stop in and say hi when you are at PPS.
One memory that I will always remember from the 2012 – 2013 school year was when we made snowflakes for our “mystery school” (Sandy Hook). Our room was filled with excitement (and glitter)! The students wanted their snowflakes to be perfect because they wanted the receiving student’s to smile when they saw their snowflakes. This week in the mail I received a thank you note from Sandy Hook. The thank you note was a reminder that one small act of kindness goes a long way!
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
